More About Me

Hello! I’m Darcy, and I am an emerging event photographer currently finishing up my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art. Having enjoyed photography for most of my teens, I have spent my undergrad getting as well-versed in the medium as I could. I have extensive training in Photoshop and digital photography, as well as analog and alternative processes. My digital photos have been exhibited the the Spring Showcase at the Rowan County Arts Center, the Student exhibition in Mt. Sterling, the state-wide University Open and the Midwest Chapter of the Society for Photographic Education’s Medium Student Exhibition in Lexington.
When serving as President of the Photography Club, I worked with the Rowan County Arts Center to plan the annual Spring Showcase student exhibition. Through this experience, I found a love for working with non profit arts organizations and community event planning. I realized I could use my photography to make a difference, by shooting events and programs ran by non profits. I want to show how crucial these organizations, and the arts, are to a community.
